Dumanjog + Moalboal + Beach Volley = The Best RD for me...

June 20 2009,

Dumanjog

me and some close friend in the office went to a small town in cebu called Dumanjog for a birthday celebration of our friend Mae. It was a nice 2 hour trip from the City of Cebu. 4 of us were talking the V-Hire as what they call it here in Cebu (Van)we had alot of fun and enjoyed the scenic views... well i know i did, but i cant speak for the other passengers if they did, hehehehehe knowing how noisy we were. We've passed some of the municipalities of San Fernando, Carcar (racrac),Naga, what else??? now i cant remember the names... anyway i was mesmerized by the beauty of the coastal area going to Dumanjog (i cant recall if this is the correct spelling... but it sounds like it.) makes me remember my hometown. As the trip went along Negz was our acting tour guide. sharing some insights about the places were passing by. One funny instance is when Negra aka Negz told Manong (driver) to just drop us in front of Dumanjog Elementary School, we were actually waiting for an acknowledgement from Manong itself but he just didnt reply. Negz and I looked at each other with a big question mark, Negz simply said 'hala ha... aw oats... (hala ha wlang tao) 30 mins after we have informed the Driver where to drop us, Negz told Dhon to remind him again. So again Dhon reminded him to drop us in that particular place, but manong just didn't reply, now the 4 of us were really concerned... it could be that Manong is Deaf or Asleep... or is in another World. Its a good thing that our seatmate informed us that we still need to wait for at least another 30 mins to arrive to Dumanjog since were still at Barili... I was laughing that time... i was under the impression that Negra knows the place... but turns out that shes not familiar with the place also... oh well we cant win them all...

here's some pictures of the places.

Naga Church

The church of St. Catherine of Alexandria in Carcar, Cebu is already 124 years old and is among the great wonder and treasure of the town. It is not clear in the history records as to who built the church but it must be observed that the Augustinian friars were in charge of the parishes from San Nicolas up to Tañon and from then on.
